Volunteering in Cambodia Short term volunteer work (days-weeks): We sometimes need volunteers with particular expertise or experience (such as accounting, engineering, food processing, graphic design, marketing, health professions, etc) to spend a week or more in Cambodia to train and work with staff. If we ever need your services we will get in touch with you and see if it is convenient for your to travel to Cambodia for a short trip. You would be required to pay for your air fair and travel insurance, but basic accommodation would be provided. Long term volunteer work (months-years): We are looking for someone to teach English in Phnom Penh. Teaching English is a way that you can help people in a very tangible way. English opens up opportunities for people to expand their knowledge, get education and obtain well-paying jobs. It also enables people to communicate and do business with people form overseas. Do you have teaching qualifications and interested in volunteering? Do you have a church or family and friends who would be willing to sponsor you to teach in Cambodia for one or two years? If you are interested, please fill in your details below. Volunteering from home Help with the import business: Volunteering does not necessarily mean you have to leave home. In Australia, we are looking for volunteer distributors, a volunteer coordinator, a volunteer accountant and other volunteers who can help with Jomnin's import business. There are many ways in which you may be able to help such as processing and delivering orders or helping with promotions of products. For every crate load of Vissot curry we can sell every month in Australia, Vissot can employ an extra 10 employees. Profits from the import business will go back to Cambodia to support the health centre. If you are interested in helping with the Vissot (Australia) import business, fill in your details below, tick the 'Volunteer from home' option and we will get back to you. Advisory and other work: Jomnin is all about helping people develop their skills and this can often be achieved through e-mails and the internet. Sometimes Healthland and Vissot staff just want a bit of advice or feedback about something they are trying to do. If you tick the box 'Volunteer from home' and tell us your qualifications we can direct Healthland and volunteer staff to you when they need your advice or feedback. There are many other ways you can help from home. Just let us know your interests and qualifications and we'll get back to you. |
